Overview

The Thuthuka Bursary Fund aims to place between 250 - 300 fully bursared Black African and Coloured students at selected SAICA-accredited universities in counts of 50 per university. Students will be placed on special undergraduate BCom Accounting programmes annually.

The Thuthuka Bursary Fund is seeking for learners who are academically strong and aspire to become Chartered Accountants. Students who do exceptionally well in Mathematics and have excellent marks in the other subject to qualify for university entrance may apply.

Do I qualify?

To qualify, applicants need to meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Achieve 60% in Mathematics in your Grade 11 Final Results (Level 5)
  • Applicants must have enough points to qualify for university entrance
  • Applicants must come from a family that cannot support them financially at tertiary level
  • Applicants must be African or Coloured learners
